Yesterday St Matthews Healthcare came together to help put undignified care to bed as part of National Dignity in Care Day.
Our Dignity Champions led the way with a dress code of red and a host of entertaining activities including parties, quizzes, games, and a design competition.
At Broomhill patients and teams joined together after lunch to produce a dazzling Dignity in Care show with different wards and teams providing the entertainment. The show was kickstarted by Governance Director, Lisa-Ann Basson, with the symbolic cutting up of undignified care behaviours followed by the unveiling of Dignity in Care pledge tree and then a Dignity in Care Q&A led by Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Omer before the poems, dances and songs were shared with much enthusiasm.
It was an entertaining, memorable event enjoyed by all – well done to Dignity Champion, Moji Efosa, for bringing it all together so beautifully.
