Complex Neurological Care Home
Offering quality specialist nursing care for people who have a complex neurological injury, a disorder or condition, or who require slow stream rehab after an injury.
At St Matthews Healthcare we specialise in rehabilitation and care for people who have a complex neurological injury, a disorder or condition, or who require slow stream rehabilitation following a brain injury.
Our neuro-rehabilitation service provides person-centred post-acute, neuro-behavioural rehabilitation as well as offering the long-term care and support to people with complex needs relating to neurodegenerative disorders and acquired brain injury.
Our Neuro Rehab Pathways
We offer a neuro rehab pathway extending between our neuro behavioural unit at Broomhill Hospital and neuro rehab unit at Hawthorne House. The former caters for individuals requiring hospital care due to the challengeing behavours associated with their brain injury, and the latter is for those who are able to engage actively in neuro rehab level 2 and 3 interventions.
Following intervention at level 2 or 3 depending on the complexity/extent of brain injury some individuals are able to live independently and others may require supported living. The minority requiring long term continuing care can be stepped down into one of the other units at Hawthorne House, or our other care homes depending on their individiual needs and preferences.
